Therapy is a deeply personal journey, and we believe your treatment details should stay completely private. Insurance companies regularly require detailed treatment notes and diagnosis codes to cover sessions—data that enters your permanent medical record and is accessible to third parties.
Moving to a private-pay model allows us to protect your sensitive information, avoid restrictive care limits set by insurance corporations, and focus 100% of our energy on helping you achieve your personal goals.
SERVICES WE PROVIDE
We provide counseling for depression, stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, and major conditions such as personality disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar and narcissistic personality disorders, as well as many other mental health concerns. We are also able to provide therapy for those suffering from addictions and/or recovery from alcohol and/or drug use.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) provides clients with new skills to manage painful emotions and decrease conflict in relationships. DBT specifically focuses on providing therapeutic skills in four key areas. First, mindfulness focuses on improving an individual's ability to accept and be present in the current moment. Second, distress tolerance is geared toward increasing a person’s tolerance of negative emotion, rather than trying to escape from it. Third, emotion regulation covers strategies to manage and change intense emotions that are causing problems in a person’s life. Fourth, interpersonal effectiveness consists of techniques that allow a person to communicate with others in a way that is assertive, maintains self-respect, and strengthens relationships.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on modifying dysfunctional emotions, behaviors, and thoughts by interrogating and uprooting negative or irrational beliefs. Considered a "solutions-oriented" form of talk therapy, CBT rests on the idea that thoughts and perceptions influence behavior. Feeling distressed, in some cases, may distort one’s perception of reality. CBT aims to identify harmful thoughts, assess whether they are an accurate depiction of reality, and, if they are not, employ strategies to challenge and overcome them.
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Repeated studies show that by using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference.
RELATIONSHIPS
Relationship counseling is beneficial to couples (same sex or heterosexual, poly) looking to strengthen their emotional connection.

We provide counseling and guidance for those considering gender reassignment. Counseling for those conflicted about their sexuality/identity. Support and guidance coming out to family and friends and employers. Referrals to hair and make-up artist that specialize in transgender transformation.
